Build-A-School Project

We have for the past two years continued our commitment to the education of children in the Eastern Visayas by working with international donors on our Build-A-School project.

The goal of this project is to significantly alter the face of schools on the island of Samar by building new classroom structures and renovating or repairing existing school structures.

So far we have had great success with this project. We managed to build a classroom for sixth graders and renovate a further three classroom buildings at Longsob Elementary School in the Oquendo District of Calbayog City. Furthermore we also renovated two more classroom buildings in this district at Rizal Elementary School.

We also serviced the Tinambacang District by renovating three classrooms as well as adjoining day care centre at Amapacang Elementary School. We here at VFV are hoping to build on the success of 2008 & 2009 as we move into 2010 and will be looking to serve more communities with the help of international sponsors.

How Can You Help?

The Build-A-School Project is completely dependent on international sponsors, as an Non-Profit Organization you can be assured that 100% of your donation goes directly into the project you are funding. Once your donation is received we will send you a profile of the school in which your funding has been spent, as well as updates on the build and relevant photos.
