Faculty-Led and Custom Group Programs

Volunteer for the Visayans (VFV) has  extensive experience in providing bespoke volunteer abroad programs for University, High School and Private Groups. VFV prides itself on providing excellent pre-program contact and onsite support throughout the entire duration of its program, offering groups the opportunity to receive a truly rewarding experience by augmenting support to a number of sustainable project goals.

The flexible nature of Volunteer for the Visayans also allows groups to tailor their own experience by plugging in a number of additional extras into the final group program. Such plug ins involve the upgrading of two meals a day to three, additional excursions, airport reception in Manila, additional language courses and various other cultural immersion activities.

Excursions

Volunteer for the Visayans will provide two excursions (and can add more upon request). Excursions are conducted on Saturday’s and offer groups the opportunity to bond, relax and enjoy some of the ecological beauty of the Philippines.

Excursions may include (but are not limited to) beach excursions, cave spelunking, visits to waterfalls, orientations of past and present VFV projects, visits to sites of historical and cultural significance such as the San Juanico Bridge and MacArthur memorial.

All excursions are led by a qualified Volunteer for the Visayans member of staff and offer groups the opportunity to witness some of the natural beauty of the Philippines whilst at the same time being orientated on some of the many community projects that VFV is involved with.

Group-Living

Group members are housed with some of our highly experienced local host families in a small close knit community environment. This arrangement allows groups members to be deeply immersed into traditional Filipino life whilst also being within only thirty seconds of each other and our office.
