Sponsorship Program at its Best..

by Jennette T. Fariola
Child Sponsorship Program Coordinator

Programs and services for the sponsored kids had been continuously given to them for almost ten months now. Last, December of 2005, the kids were given the chance to be visited in their homes and was given groceries as a special Christmas gifts for their family.

The sponsorship program had been getting positive response from the sponsors and those who wanted to sponsor a kid. As of this moment, we are serving more or less forty–two kids from the direct sponsorship program. And just recently, we were able to have additional sponsors for five kids in Palo.

As part of the program, the kids were evaluated with their performance in school and with the improvement of their health status. The evaluation will show how the program has helped the kids since they entered the program.

As the program grows and expands, its services will also be offered to some of the underprivileged children in Brgy. Hinapolon, Alang–alang Leyte. An assessment and survey of additional children for sponsorship will be done within this month.
