THANK YOU!

by Nannette Morata
VFV Local Director

–To the Leyte Gulf Offroad Bikers' Association (LGORA), for helping us in raising funds for the street children. The group asked for pledges from donors as they go on an off road biking adventure for this cause. The proceeds will be used to buy beddings and other basic necessities for the newly constructed Streetchildren's Center of the Social Welfare Office.

–To IES, for continually supporting us by including the Child Sponsorship Program as one of the beneficiaries of their Christmas donation...

–To Barbara Peden, for providing a Christmas gift to 5 children scavengers at the garbage dumpsite. They received gifts of school materials, school bags, shirts and game boards. These children scavenge at the dumpsite to earn a meager amount of money that will help them with their studies. The gifts they received were such a big blessing for them already. To Barbara, thank you very much!

–To Todd and Stacey Thomsen for sending a box full of gifts as a donation to one needy girl in Bliss. Mary Jane is a teenage girl who lives in a run–down house, which used to be a pig pen, with her mom and brother. After school, she helps her mom sell native snacks at the neighborhood. It was to her great surprise that we chose her as the lucky girl who received the gift.
