Guinsaugon, St. Bernard, Southern Leyte called for a quick and massive action from the government, different organizations and rescue teams from all over the world. These different sectors converged in St. Bernard to give aid in various forms.

A Wheelchair for a Crippled Boy

joelJoel Velbar is a 6–year old boy who was born with unusually small legs that stopped growing since he was 3 years old. For years, he had been using a native device used to train babies on how to walk but he grew bigger for and the device would not fit him anymore. To be able to move, the boy would be seen crawling around or waiting for his father to take him around.

New Projects in the Works

Providing basic School Supplies to students of village elementary schools

The Adopt–a–School Program is one of VFV's projects where sponsors donate US$50 – $75 to buy the basic school supplies for students in village primary schools. Two schools already benefited from this project through the sponsorship of Ms. Lenny Bugayong. Ms. Lenny is a Filipina who is studying and living in Switzerland.
