The Philippines as a developing country is still facing a lot of problems, especially with poverty issues. A lot of Filipino families come from underprivileged situations wherein the Government is trying to find a solution.

Volunteer for the Visayans is a Not-for-Profit Organization which offers the Child Sponsorship Program in the Philippines, particularly in Leyte. We cater assistance to the needy children in the Philippines with their education and medical needs for only $150 of six months sponsorship or $300 for a year of sponsorship ($25 a month).

Find out how far a few dollars will go in improving the life of a child when you sponsor a child for $25 a month. By becoming a sponsor, you can make a difference in the life of a needy child by helping to provide his/her basic needs for education, health and attention.

In sponsoring a child, an individual can:
• Receive a letter/card from the child
• Get an opportunity to correspond with the child and build a lasting bond and friendship
• Receive e-mail updates/reports about the child
• Make a child feel that they are special

And the child will get…
• School materials and tuition fees
• Regular medical check-ups
• Nutritional needs (medicines, vitamins, milk and foods)
• After school tutoring activities
• Organized activities (educational tours, art sessions, etc)
• Ballet dance classes/sessions

Together let's put a smile back into their faces as we share our blessings to these less fortunate children.
