67 Houses burned down in Tacloban City on New Years Eve

January 1, Pericohon, Tacloban City, a huge fire believed to be caused by a firecracker IMG_7103displacing 94 families and 67 houses during the night of New Years Eve based on the official list of the Barangay.

Families were evacuated at a nearest church(Redemptorist Church) during the night of the fire.

5 days later, some of the families have returned to their razed houses to start a new life.  Using tarps in exchange of their burned black roofs and building a new home from scratch.

Most of the people were collecting their left belongings checking if there is still left to be use and some sell their possession to the junk shop just to earn money.

In behalf of the people who were victims of the terrible tragedy. We are asking for your prayers and help for the people who are in need to start a new life. We are in need of Shelter Kits to be hand out to the 94 families.
