For the first time in VFV’s history, its staff and volunteers took on an outreach activity right on Valentine’s day. What better way to celebrate love than sharing it with others?
On February 14, 2017 we started early, bringing with us gifts for the elderly and sickly residents of Missionaries in Tacloban City and the people of Brgy . Planza, an island community in Babatngon, Leyte.
We gave hygiene packs to each of the 20 elderly and sickly residents of Missionaries of Charity. The houseparents who look after them everyday were also given hygience kits. Aside from the individual packs, we also gave 2 sacks of rice for their consumption. In Brgy. Planza, a total of 160 households received a pack of rice, hygience kit, and pre-loved clothes. The community’s elementary school also received about 100 books for children.

The generosity of our donors and sponsors allowed us to organize this activity. The assistance coming from our local and international volunteers and partners allowed efficient delivery of service. Constantly, we express our gratitude to individuals and groups who support our community service, without whom none would be possible. To the community, we will continue to help you in whatever capacity, to best of our ability.
In all things we do, we do with love.
