Have you ever tried to explain your experience volunteering in the Philippines to a friend once you return home? Difficult isn’t it? That community feeling, the somewhat spartan living conditions and that feeling you get from participating in something bigger than yourself is often difficult to put into words.
At VFV, we know that without our volunteers we would not have been able to achieve a quarter of our accomplishments over the last few years; we also understand how much of a sacrifice our volunteers are making with regards to money and time when they choose to come over and volunteer with us.
In order to address both of these issues, we are pleased to announce to our whole volunteer Alumni network that we will be giving away one FREE 4 week Program as part of our first annual Photo Competition. You have until January 31, 2013 to submit your best photo from your time volunteering with VFV. Winners will be selected by public vote and by a judges panel no later than February 14, 2013. Submission can be done through the Volunteer for the Visayans Facebook Page.
Any former volunteer from any year may participate in the competition. Please read the terms and conditions carefully.
Winners will receive one FREE 4 Week Program on any desired project placement (subject to availability) and one 15% discounted Alumni rate for a 4 Week Program. Airfare, vaccinations, insurance and visas are not included.
